Decisions...Decisions....
Someone asked me (Nicole) a question today, "Where does my conviction of my faith come from"? That really triggered a lot of thoughts in my head. I am still learning and thinking on this but I feel that my conviction of my faith comes from the more time with I spend with God (of course) but more importantly the more times I OBEY God.
I meet these people all the time that just inspire me spiritually and make me want to influence others the way that they do. I feel like their conviction in their faith is just resonated through their obedience. They read their Bible... yeah, they fellowship with other Christians... yeah, they have a great prayer time.... Im sure, but when God puts those words down, answers their prayers (even the way they don't want them to be answered) they do what He says.... bottom line. A lot of us, hear God and maybe obey on a lot of things that we want to obey with, but we skip those certain things. We skip them because we don't see the "big picture" or we don't see the positive because we are too busy thinking negative. We don't have the faith that He knows whats best or we would OBEY Him. Then we forget God ever told us to do what He asked us to do. Later on, it may come up again and we ignore it again and again. What I really mean by all this is that our conviction comes from obeying Gods words, and seeing His plan pay off spiritually. The more you obey Him makes you more passionate and confident in His words. That confidence will come in handy in those tough decisions.

Goin Fishin in Cedar Key!!!...
We spent our Veteran's Day fishing with Capt. Jimbo, Sarah and Ady Keith. It was so much fun because we actually each caught a few and got to eat em afterwards. We even had a little Red Root there as you can see in the pic to the left. Perfectly beautiful day with some fun people. Always great to spend time with other Christians and enjoy God's creation. Cedar Key was a great place to do it!!

Road Food Combos - Podcast
Traveling just makes us hungry sometimes. I know everybody has interesting food combos. I've heard of everything from slim jims and icecream to bacon brownies. This isn't extreme, so caution is not advised while watching this podcast. This is just a quick video of Nika eating her favorite combo of slim jims and cheese. :-)

I Give Up...
Always have loved quotes and I (Nicole) always will!! I read one today that was very well put: A fool is a self-confident person who thinks they don’t need help from God or anyone else. –Joyce Meyers. Yes, I have totally been a fool before, thinking that I can do everything on my own. Maybe to where I can practice so much that I will be the best, or work so hard at prepping what I say at concerts to where I can win someone to Christ. (Impossible for ME to do either) Or before I gave my life to Christ, even thinking that I could do "good" on my own. Yes I could do "good" on my own for a little while at least, but I couldn't be my "best" ever alone. You probably know this already, but God did create us. So it would only make sense that He is in control and knows whats best and know what direction and things are our "best". But that is a scary thing right? Putting ourselves in someone else's hands all the time? But we can't see Him? I get scared sometimes doing that and then I think, I am so like the Israelites. I used to think how could anyone be that crazy. God is doing all this stuff for them, like giving them food from Heaven, making clouds guide their way like a map, but they still don't put their trust in Him. I can't say anything, I have done the same thing many times. I see God work in my life and then, just forget. Then, think, God what are you doing? Why did you put me here? I believe sometimes we may later know why God put us in certain places and sometimes we will just have to wait till we get to Heaven to know. But that is where the big word "Faith" comes into play. If we never have "Faith", what trust is there for God? If God always lays out everything in front of us, how will we really trust Him and believe that He knows more about life than we do? How can you truly be a Christian without putting your "Faith" in Christ?
Putting "Faith" in scary situations is a blessing because that means that the only way that the situation will work out is through God. Then I get to see Him work. -Nicole :)

Appreciate always
Hey, this is Nicole again! I've been thinking... I know "scary" right, ha (lame joke) Well anyways, Easter has passed but it got me thinking that I make it a point to appreciate Jesus' death more on Easter than anytime of the year. I do that with so much stuff. I really appreciate my mom on Mother's Day and Dad on Father's Day. The list goes on and on. I know I can't be perfect but really being super thankful for a short blast of time is not good enough. Being thankful for Jesus' sacrifice is not by saying Thank you, it is by doing something with what God has given to you and being appreciative of the things you have and even the things you don't have (Makes sense in my head). I have been just struggling with being appreciative to God in everyway, not just reading my Bible, praising God verbally, but I need to work on true trust, faith, thankfulness, appreciativeness. I say all this to say, God has a plan everyday for me and I need to totally be content and thankful no matter what it is and be thankful that he is there for me and has sacrificed more for me than I could ever repay b/c He loves me. He is always ahead of whats going on and always sees the big story, not just the cloudy fuzzy story, I sometimes may see. I will need His help on this!! This is just a quick thought that hit me, that I wanted to share that I was dealing with. I hope you guys can understand my mind clutter!! I really need to get Natalie to organize my thoughts for me ha!! (Funny picture) Thanks love you all!! -Nicole :)

Always Changing!!
Hey guys, I (Nicole) have had an amaaaazing January and am so thankful for all the kind words from people in the past month. I have been playing weekends and practicing new songs weekdays.

God has really been teaching me a lot lately with just molding me. He is constantly teaching me that my ways are nothing compared to his. He is always showing me where I mess up and that sounds like a "bad" thing, but it is really a blessing. Its a blessing because in order to be a better example to others, I need to know what I need to improve. Of course, when God is showing me, it doesn't "feel" like a blessing but it is necessary for a much needed change. Then I can have better relationships with friends, family and everyone else!! Of course, I want to be perfect in every move I make, but I find out everyday that is not possible. No one can be or will be!! That is why I need God's help everyday.
Also, when I look at myself and my faults, it is crazy for me to judge anyone else. It seems like in our culture, people get judged by one mistake or action in there life. It is something that I catch myself doing when I see a news headline or something else. It is something that makes Christians turn others off big-time!! God has been showing me that I should not be known for the things that I don't believe in or don't think is right, I should be known for what I love and who I love and that I love no matter what, just like God loves me even though I mess up every day. So the next time we see that rumor or fact, it doesn't matter, God loves us no matter what so we should do the same!! Love you all!! -Nicole :)

Cowboys, Snakes, Studio, & a New Year!
Cowboys, snakes, the studio, hillbillies, and chickens describe some of our last year. The Double Wide Church Video was an ADVENTURE in itself. It was my first acting debut, but I did survive with only a cracked but now fixed violin! (Thanks Williams Violin Shop :-)), and everyone escaped the clutches of the snake and Swamp People! I was so grateful to all the fans from across the country that helped us out by being "hillbillies" and meeting them was UNFORGETTABLE!!! Also, thanks to you all for watching and sharing the video on facebook, youtube, and emails. The DWC SHARE-A-THON is going to be ending at the end of this month, but you still have time to participate. CLICK HERE for more info.

Now for 2012, it has come so quickly! It seems like life is going so fast for me, but so far I've had a good start. A new year represents a new day. We can start over each day wanting to have a better one than we had a day before. God forgiving me for what I did yesterday allows me to live TODAY with a NEW attitude and guiltless from what I did the day before. So start fresh with me today, tomorrow, the next day, etc... striving to be more loving towards God and others. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

NEW CD Info/Music Video
Hey there!
This is Nika! You usually here from Natalie or Nicole, but today I decided to tell you all what we’ve been up to lately.
We have been working on some new songs for our upcoming CD that we will be recording soon. We actually co-wrote a couple songs on this album. We’re excited to share them with you all! We thank you for your support so we can record another CD! The songs we will be putting on the CD are songs that we have related to in many different ways such as either fun, country, trials we’ve been through ourselves, and just life in general! Just different things God has showed us and blessed us with! He is awesome, and we hope that we can praise him together with this new CD!
We have been to and performed at many places that were special to us!
We have made a New Music Video to our NEW single “Double Wide Church” that had a lot of fans and radio DJs participating in it; so be looking for them and also some special guests!
Love yall! Have a Great thanksgiving! God Bless! -Nika
